‘Feel Better’ Tea

Okay so I make ZERO medical claims here. BUT what I do know is that when I feel sick – tea is my go to!

Is absolutely everyone at your work/office/school sick? Ya…same here…

Welp ’tis the season!

So I thought this was the perfect time to share the perfect tea when I have a sore throat or upset stomache!

Your ingredients include lemon, honey and real ginger.

TIP: you can keep ginger in the freezer for a long time and grates great when frozen! Also clearly I buy the little containers of lemon juice instead of lemons. It is great to keep these on hand for when a sore throat sneaks up on you!

Now if you don’t like the ginger ‘bits’ in your tea [I don’t], I steep them in a tea strainer for a few minutes and remove [the tea is also fantastic without the ginger fyi!].

So basically combine everything in the biggest mug you own, boil some water and pour in, stirring to dissolve.

Now here’s a great excuse to show you my favourite teacups from my collection!

NOW REST! Literally the absolute best thing you can do for yourself is REST. Get your favourite PJs, blankie, movie, book, whatever! Let your body and your immune system do it’s job and fight that sickness!

  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 – 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • Hot water
  • Your biggest mug
  • Your favourite PJs and a good movie

  1. Put honey, lemon and ginger in your biggest mug
  2. Boil the kettle!
  3. Fill up the mug and stir.
  4. Put on a good movie and REST

Note: if you dont like the ginger ‘bits’ in your tea, use a strainer so that you can ‘steep’ them and remove them after a few minutes
