So I’m going to be real. I had another post lined up, but then I realized that I had already recently posted black bean brownies. I swear to you, lately, if my head weren’t firmly attached to my neck, I would misplace it! So instead, I come to you bearing one of my go-to meals: Kitchen Sink Burritos! This is the meal that comes out of a need to clean leftovers out of the fridge, but it is always good. Although completely customizable, click on through to follow how I made my burrito for this leftovers night! Continue reading “Kitchen Sink Burritos”
So one of my favourite breakfasts is granola, fruit, and yogurt. IT’S JUST SO GOOD. And as much as I do love the greek yogurt parfaits from Tim Horton’s, a girl has to save her dollars. Enter this sweet, crunchy, (and optionally spicy) granola for all your breakfast and snacking needs. Click on through for how to make it!

First of all, FOOD PUNS. Second of all, this is my official “I have to get up at 4:15 tomorrow morning” meal. I prepped it the night before, and the texture was PERFECT the next morning. So creamy and delicious and SATISFYING. Not to mention this whole recipe has literally two steps, and one of them is putting the finished product into your facehole. I first fell in love with quiche a few weeks back, when a friend’s mother made this UNBELIEVABLE cheddar, bacon, and onion quiche. It was so good, I could hardly believe it. I decided that I would like to eat something similar for breakfast, and after the hash browns I made a few weeks ago, I thought “Could I switch the pastry crust with hash browns?” The answer, as it turns out, is YES. Hash browns are one of those feel good foods that just make you feel cozy and right at home. There’s something about them that is just way too good for something that is so simple. I suspect magic. Click on through for how to make these tasty morsels. Continue reading “Hash Browns”
It’s been a while since I’ve done something snacky. As I was sitting at my desk at work one day, mourning the loss of the last of my snacks for the day, it suddenly hit me – how good would a grilled cheese be right now? The answer, of course, was “so good”. But we’re going to take this one step further today – we’re going to make it easy to handle (
because regular grilled cheese is so hard to handle…), AND dress it up with some avocado. Click on through to follow some easy steps to deliciousness!

First things first. Throughout the entire writing of this post, I had Gwen Stefani’s “Hollaback Girl” stuck in my head. Because if you spell “bananas” out without singing that part of the song, then you’re a liar.
This is one of my favourite go-to healthy desserts. It’s especially interesting for me, because I hate yellow and spotted bananas. But this recipe? Deliciousness. Click on through to join me on this warm, caramelized, delicious adventure.

So let me be the first to say “OH MAN!” about these breakfast jars. I am always on the look out for ways to transport healthy, filling foods, and this recipe did NOT disappoint me. I was full from 6:30 am to 1:30 pm, and I am an eating machine. Thanks to some cinnamon vanilla steel cut oats (the same as the Chocolate Steel Cut Oats, but without the chocolate and with vanilla and cinnamon, of course), Nutella, almond butter, and chia jam. Now I know what you’re thinking. “T, I don’t know how to make chia jam.” Well strap in, my friend, because I am about to take you on a ride. Click on through to join me.
