So these started as a try at those fancy “energy balls” I’ve been seeing all over Pinterest. They are these naturally sweetened, nutritious balls of goodness that are supposed to be a nice filling snack, or even a pre-workout supplement, meant to give you a little kick of energy. Iced Tea “Pink Drink”

Let’s talk Starbucks. I do love me a tasty Starbucks beverage every once in a while (okay, so, I may or may not have a gold card that is currently good through 2018, that’s how much…). A few weeks ago, this secret menu item made the internet explode, so I figured I needed to get on the band wagon and try this thing out. It’s a Strawberry Acaí Refresher (or Very Berry Hibiscus, if you’re in Canada) with the water subbed for coconut milk. AND HOLY SMOKES IS IT GOOD. But being that some days I don’t feel like splurging for my fix, I decided to experiment at home a little, and I actually came up with a few delicious combinations. Cinnamon Sugar Fried Bananas

First things first. Throughout the entire writing of this post, I had Gwen Stefani’s “Hollaback Girl” stuck in my head. Because if you spell “bananas” out without singing that part of the song, then you’re a liar.

Breakfast Jars feat. Chia Jam

So let me be the first to say “OH MAN!” about these breakfast jars. I am always on the look out for ways to transport healthy, filling foods, and this recipe did NOT disappoint me. I was full from 6:30 am to 1:30 pm, and I am an eating machine. Thanks to some cinnamon vanilla steel cut oats  (the same as the Chocolate Steel Cut Oats, but without the chocolate and with vanilla and cinnamon, of course), Nutella, almond butter, and chia jam. Chocolate Chia Pudding

love chia seeds. They are so versatile and yummy and kick-you-in-the-pants healthy. I always make some kind of pudding or use them to thicken smoothies, my sister uses them to make drinks, a friend of mine uses them to replace eggs in certain recipes…VERSATILE. And today, we are making chia pudding. But not just any chia pudding. This chia pudding is creamy, chocolatey, sweet, and just SO good. And it’s good for you, too.
